know what you know, and know what you do not know is the character of
one who knows.
If
you can admit that you don't know something then you know yourself
better... rather than to fool yourself pretending you know
everything. OR
It
kind of means to be wise you know the difference between what you DO
know, and what you do NOT know.
The character of the wise person
(or one who knows) is to know the difference.

Do not worry about people not knowing you, but strive to worth
knowing.
Don't
stress it if you're not well known or you don't have a lot of
friends, but try to be someone that people will WANT to know and be
friends with.

A man who has committed a mistake and does not correct it committing
another mistake.

Reading without thinking gives one disorderly mind; thinking without
reading makes one flighty.
In
my Opinion, The
first statement means that if you don't think about what you read,
the ideas of what you just read are just floating through your mind
and you can't organize your thoughts properly.
If
you think but you do not "read", meaning you are not
informed, then you are thinking without a basis and you probably
don't even recognize whatever it is that you're thinking
about.

When
a country is in order, it is a shame to be a poor and common man:
Well,
why not? A country that is ruled properly does not hinder one's
success. Being poor in a nice and orderly country reflects
one's lack of capability to rise for himself and work hard. it
symbolizes one's incompetence.
When
a country is in chaos, it is a shame to be rich and an official:
Being
rich and an official in a chaotic country means that YOU are one of
the reasons as to why the country becamse chaoitc in the first
place. it means that you, the rich and powerful, were not able
to use your gifts for the country to prosper. Again, it
symblizes one's incompetence; or probably, greed for too much money
and power that resulted to one's forgetting of his/her own duties to
the country and its people.
9.
To repay evil with kindness is a sign of a generous character; to
repay kindness with evil is the sign of a criminal.
10.
A
man who has a beautiful soul always has some beautiful things to say,
but a man who says beautiful things does not necessarily have a
beautiful soul.
